IMPERIAL ALUMNI LEADER AS COACH PROGRAMME

IMPERIAL ALUMNI LEADER AS COACH PROGRAMME

“We ran a pilot Coaching programme for Imperial alumni at the beginning of 2020, thankfully the first workshop took place pre COVID lockdown. The programme focused on career coaching using coaching skills and competencies to enable effective dialogue that would support our recent graduates to achieve positive results.

Kimberley came with a lot of helpful ideas and an organised approach. The training for our coaches was both experiential and interactive as well as educational, showcasing models and theories that the participants could put into practice. They were engaged with the content and Kimberley’s warm and informative delivery style. Kimberley provided resources to support the coaches throughout their coaching journey along with pre work, suggested reading and regular check in’s.

All of the alumni in the programme reported having a positive and rewarding experience, that they were well matched and 100% of coachees commented that they had met their coaching goals.

We were very pleased with the result given this was meant to be a face to face coaching experience that quickly moved to online.
Due to its success we look forward to running it again in 2021 and working together again in the future.”

Why?

  • Globally we are in an increasingly Volatile, Unpredictable, Complex, and Ambiguous (VUCA) environment. Emerging challenges are proving to need more than individual leadership alone

  • During a crisis and move to a virtual world the ‘softer’ skills and the ability to build relationships becomes more critical to support productivity, performance, well-being, engagement and retention

  • 80% of business’ operate almost wholly in teams: 21st-century obstacles will be overcome by dynamic, agile, collaborative teams with the ability to adapt in uncertain circumstances together, to be ‘future fit

  • Getting the best out of people requires emotional, team and cultural literacy, heightened empathy and awareness when leading others

  • A coaching culture will create a collaborative environment that encourages new thinking and the path to positive outcomes

Current and future fit leadership is viewed as being inclusive, collaborative, of service to all stakeholders, supported by having coaching style conversations that strengthen the evolution of mindsets whilst taking a 'whole systems approach, in a period of heightened change and disruption.

You can expect the workshop to include practical experiential learning, the introduction to key theories and an opportunity to apply these in small group coaching style conversations.

Kimberley has held several group workshops for COACH covering topics around the power of coaching, how to have more generative dialogue, enhancing your leadership style and improving engagement and morale in teams as well as working with the wider system-culture and company.

The workshops were a perfect balance of being both educational and experiential-with a great mix of theory and behavioural models from some of the key thought leaders in the field of coaching, neuroscience and systemic theory paired with action’ learning by doing’.

The group feedback was incredibly positive with attendees commenting on being really engaged both with the content and Kimberley’s style. Thankyou.
